Armed robbery at Fruit and Veg outlet in Port Elizabeth

Police in Port Elizabeth are searching for about 8 suspects who robbed the Fruit and Veg outlet in Newton Park on Friday afternoon.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the armed robbery took place just before 6 pm.

She says Staff were threatened with a firearm, before being forced into an office whereafter an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Naidu says the suspects fled in a White Bantam Bakkie.

Nobody was physically injured during the incident
