Three armed robbers have been arrested and one killed, after trying to rob a shop in Queenstown.
Police Warrant Officer Namhla Mdleleni says the robbery took place before the shop opened on Monday.
When police arrived at the scene, the suspects shot at them, and police members returned fire, killing one of the men.
Mdleleni says three others were arrested.
One of the suspects was wounded in the shoot-out, and is under police guard in hospital.
An undisclosed amount of money, four firearms, and ammunition were recovered.
