Police in Kariega are investigating a case of murder after a man was found dead on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the 34-year-old Sibabalwe Mthengenya was stabbed and shot to death in his house in Mgolodela Street in Kwanobuhle.
She said police are now looking for three men of interest who could help them with information to crack the case.
Colonel Naidu said a 17-year-old boy who was in the house with Mthengenya, told police he was accused of stealing the victim's TV set and an argument broke out.
The teenager told police that Mthengenya called three of his friends who then tied him up and assaulted him, before locking him in a room.
She said the teenager further claims that he was unconscious and was rescued by the deceased's family members who found his body on the floor.
Naidu said the circumstances surrounding his murder are unknown at this stage.
