Two suspects will appear in the New Brighton Magistrates Court in Gqeberha on Friday after they were caught carrying cases of alcohol from a hijacked truck on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the truck was on its way to make a delivery when it was hijacked at the traffic lights on the R75.
Three armed suspects forced the driver and his assistant out of the truck at gunpoint and ordered them to get into a VW Polo.
Captain Beetge says they two were then dropped off in an open field in Joe Slovo.
He says police later found the truck abandoned in Seweti Street, with 48 cases of liquor still on the truck.
Police found two men, aged 26 and 27 who were carrying cases of liquor in the vicinity, and made the arrest.
