Eastern Cape Police are investigating another mass shooting that left at least six people dead at a house in Kwanobuhle in Kariega on Tuesday night.
Four other people were wounded in the shooting in Mdledle Street when three gunmen entered a yard of a house and opened fire.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said two males were shot at the gate of the property.
"A further eight people were shot, leaving five dead, and three others injured. The total number of deceased persons is five males and one female, while three males and a female were injured."
Naidu said their names and ages are still to be determined, and the motive for the massacre is unknown at this stage.
In January eight people were gunned down at a house in Kwazakhele during a birthday celebration.

In February, four students from a local TVET college died when three gunmen peppered a house in Kwazakhele with bullets in February.

Eastern Cape provincial commissioner, Lieutenant-General Nomthethelele Mene has condemned the senseless killing and has called on the community to assist police in tracing the perpetrators immediately.
