The South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape is mourning the death of yet another police officer.
A 44-year-old police sergeant attached to the Visible Policing Unit at Elliot was shot and killed by two unknown gunmen at his house at about six-thirty Wednesday night.
Police report that two men shot the victim, who has not yet been named, as he approached his home in Ekuthuleni Township
Eastern Cape Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Celiwe Binta said she was infuriated by the murder and that no stone would be left unturned in bringing the perpetrators to book.
