Another court appearance for Cradock man who kidnapped teen

A Cradock man, charged with kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old, is due to appear in court on Friday.

The 52-year-old man was arrested in Bloemfontein late last year after he failed to appear in court.

He had been arrested on August 25 and when he failed to appear on October 25, a warrant of arrest was issued.

It is alleged that he had kidnapped and raped the girl in Cradock in August. 

According to reports, the man had been in a relationship with the young girl.

Police said he had been held in custody.
