The ANC Youth League in the Eastern Cape is awaiting a decision from the party's National Working Committee on its future.
The working committee met on Tuesday to discuss the fate of the provincial structure following a number of visits by the national task team formed in the wake of the expulsion of Julius Malema.
The national task team has already dissolved 7 other provinces.
Task Team spokesperson Bandile Masuku says a decision on the Eastern Cape youth league structure will be taken soon by the ANC's National Working Committee.
"The report was tabled late and it was then shifted to the next meeting of the NWT whcih will take place in the next 2 weeks, but there is no decision as of yet" Masuku said.
Meanwhile ANC youth league provincial secretary, Mzonke Ndabeni told Algoa FM News, that this came as a surprise as they were under the impression that the task team was satisfied with the Eastern Cape structure.
However, he adds that if the provincial leadership is dissolved, provincial leaders will focus on their own interests.
