Senior officials from the ANC's regional executive committee paid a visit to Tholeni Village near Butterworth on Monday where more than a dozen women and young girls had been murdered since 2007.
ANC MP, Daphney Qikana, also joined the delegation and comes after the weekend murder of a 55 year old woman.
In July police offered a reward of R250 000 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
So far two of the now 13 murders under investigation have been solved and the perpetrators jailed.
The ANC in the Eastern Cape has called for the establishment of a task team to probe the murders.
