The ANC in Nelson Mandela Bay says it is disgusted with the manner in which Executive Mayor, Athol Trollip is responding to the service delivery protests in the city's Northern Areas.
ANC Regional Head, Gift Ngqondi says this is also informed by the assessment they have made on service delivery and performance of the DA led Coalition in the Metro.
He says the assessment reveals that the DA get its high mark for delivery to the old white areas and a low mark for delivery to the black townships and Northern Areas, thus neglecting transformation.
Ngqondi says in spite of promises, no houses have been delivered since the local government elections on the 3rd August last year.
He says in a statement killings and gangsters reached horrific levels in the Northern Areas, whilst the DA focuses on dogs barking and blocking freeways for traffic fines.
Ngqondi says the spending of the capital budget again lags far behind the budgeted amounts, and is in many respects the reasons for increased service delivery protests in the Metro.
