The ANC in the Eastern Cape has spoken out about the murder of their Councillor candidate Zolile Malangeni in Tsolo on Thursday night.
Malangeni and his wife Ntombovuyo were killed by unknown men.ANC provincial spokesperson Mlibo Qoboshiyane, says Malangeni was a former Council speaker for the Mhlontlo Municipality.Qoboshiyane says they have reported the matter to the Hawks.
He says the team investigating the murders must work harder and faster to ensure that these types of crimes are stopped.
The 55-year-old Malangeni was again appointed by several ANC branches and was waiting to be sworn in as a Councillor.
He died shortly after the shooting incident in the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital.His 49-year-old wife died at the scene.The motive for the murders is not known at this stage.
