The ANC's National Chairperson, Baleka Mbete, is visiting the Buffalo City Metro this weekend.
The party says in a statement that she would be accompanied by members of the National Executive Committee and the Eastern Cape Provincial Executive Committee.
Mbete will attend a briefing session at the ANC's Regional Office in East London this morning, followed by door-to-door visits in Wards 3 and 4.
Meanwhile, the ANC's Treasurer-General, Zweli Mkhize, together with other members of the National and Provincial Executive Committees, will visit the Alfred Nzo Region in the Eastern Cape this weekend.
Party spokesperson, Keith Khoza says Mkhize will attend a briefing session at the ANC's Regional Office in Mount Ayliff Saturday morning, followed by door-to-door visits.
Khoza says the Treasurer-General will also meet with Ratepayers and Organised Business Saturday afternoon.
