Amatola Water Board has announced the suspension of its Director of Finance, Kevin Govindsamy.
Govindsamy had been acting as Chief Executive Officer of the Amatola Water Board in place of suspended CEO Mr Lefadi Makibinyane.
“The decision to suspend Mr Govindsamy was taken in order that allegations of misconduct could be investigated. The current Director of Operations, Mrs Asanda Gidana, will be acting as CEO in the interim,” the Board statement said.
“The Board and Management Team of Amatola Water are committed to ensuring business continuity and leadership of the organisation.”
“As the provider of bulk-water services to a number of municipalities in the region, reassurance is given to Amatola Water stakeholders that the organisation will continue to provide the exceptional service which the region has become accustomed to,” said the Amatola Water Board.
