A man accused of raping a teenager in Jacksonville, Port Elizabeth in 2017 is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the suspect was dating the mother of the 14-year-old victim at the time.
The 52-year-old was arrested in May 2017 after the victim's sister witnessed the assault and alerted her mother.
Naidu says the man appeared in court where he was charged with rape and released on bail.
He failed to honour his next court appearance and a warrant of arrest was issued.
Police finally tracked him down on Wednesday at the PE harbour where he was arrested.
