Alleged rapist abandons bid for bail

A man who appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's court on Thursday for a bail application, after he allegedly raped three young girls, indicated that he did not want to apply for bail. 

The 25 year old suspect therefor remains in custody. 

The man allegedly locked the three victims inside a room in the Asla Park neighbourhood a few weeks ago, and raped each of them twice. 

Two of the girls are thirteen years old, and the other one eleven.

All three had to receive medical treatment. 

The suspect will appear in court again shortly.
