An alleged killer from Port Alfred who has been on the run for nearly four months has been arrested in Port Elizabeth.
Eric Meyers who also goes by the alias Ntroko was arrested shortly after midnight on Thursday in the Motherwell area.
Police Spokesperson Captain Mali Govender says Meyers has been on the run since October after allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend and threatened her son times.
The child, who survived the traumatic ordeal, is now living with relatives.
Police said at the time that the suspect's identity was not in dispute as he was identified by several eye-witnesses who know him, including members of his own family.
Meyers will appear in the Port Alfred Magistrates court on Friday where he will be charged with murder and attempted murder.
