A resident from Sedgefield who was arrested in connection with a fake holiday rental scam made a brief appearance in the Thembalethu
Magistrate's Court at George on Thursday morning.
The 32-year-old, Marianne Roux, made her first court appearance on the 21st of June after she was arrested at her home on charges of theft.
Police say Roux allegedly defrauded people by using deposits meant for accommodation establishments throughout the Southern Cape.
So far, 13 complainants have come forward.
Thursday's bail hearing was postponed as the investigating officer in the case is in Limpopo where more victims of the alleged scam that she operated in the Garden Route are laying charges.
The case was postponed to the 18th of July for a formal bail application and Roux remains in custody.
