Alleged drug dealer makes brief appearance in PE court

A Port Elizabeth man who was arrested in the suburbs for allegedly dealing in drugs at the weekend has been released on bail of R1 000.

Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the 43-year-old Emeka Obiezu appeared briefly at the Port Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.

He was arrested at a house in Lovemore Park after members followed up on a tip-off.

She says they seized packets of heroin and crack cocaine worth an estimated value of R175 000.

He is expected to appear in court again next month.
