Port Elizabeth Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is once again looking for Megan Diedericks who failed to appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates' court on 5 March 2019.
The 25-year-old Diedericks was arrested for the alleged kidnapping of a 3-year-old child from Pollock beach in January.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the 3-year-old was with his 52-year-old grandmother at a beach in Summerstrand when a woman, claiming to be from Schauderville struck up a conversation.
They then went to a nearby bottle store to get some alcohol.
She says they were waiting for the child's mother at the beach, but she never came.
The suspect, who introduced herself simply as Megan then took the child back to the shops to get cigarettes but never returned.
She was later arrested in the bushes at Victoria Park and the child was reunited with his family.
Diedericks was released on a warning and was due to appear in court on the 5th of March but failed to do so.
A warrant of arrest has now been issued for her.
