A report by consultants, who conducted an independent analysis of water samples in Nelson Mandela Bay, indicates that the results from the municipality’s Scientific Services Laboratory compares favourably with that of two independent laboratories.
A report to the Infrastructure, Engineering and Energy Committee that meets next week, says that both the micro-biologic and chemical results were found to comply with the national standards for drinking water quality.
In addition, it says, it is further evidence that the water in the municipality is safe for human consumption.
