Algoa FM has rallied to support the call for donations for victims of this week's flooding in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Blankets, food and other donations can be dropped off at any Spar Supermarket or at the Homemakers Expo currently underway at the Boardwalk.
Hundreds of people had to be evacuated from flooded and water-logged informal settlements around the Metro this week.
They are currently being sheltered in several community halls.
The PE branch of the SA Weather Service has predicted more heavy rain for the entire Eastern Cape this weekend.
Meanwhile: the Wolwedans Dam at Great Brak River and the Garden Route Dam are over flowing due to heavy rainfall in the Garden Route Area.
The Eden District Municipality issued a severe weather warning on Friday.
River mouths of the Great Break River, Swartvlei and Wilderness have also been breached.
Heavy rainfall and storms are expected along the entire Garden Route on Saturday.
