Algoa Bus Company has announced that strike action from tomorrow will result in no services being rendered across Nelson Mandela Bay from 10am.
In a statement issued on Tuesday afternoon, CEO Sicelo Duze, said that the strike is a result of demands by workers who he says insist on raising these at local level even though he believes these should be dealt with in the centralised bargaining forum.
Duze says even the intervention of the CCMA could not break the deadlock.
He says as a result, representative unions have served notice of a strike.
Duze says Algoa Bus will enforce a lock-out of striking workers on Wednesday.
The strike is to commence after the first shift.
