South Africa has signed a co-operation agreement with Indonesia at the 48th annual Nafcoc conference taking place in East London.
The agreement is an extension of one signed in 2004 and will see the Departments of Trade and Industry in both countries work closer together.
Indonesia's deputy minister of trade, Choirul Jamhari, says bilateral trade between South Africa and Indonesia between 2007 and 2011 has shown an upward trend.
Delivering the keynote address at the Nafcoc confernce, Jahmhari said South Africa was now the 23rd largest exporter to Indonesia and the 36th biggest importer of Indonesia products.
