The fight against rhino poaching in the Addo Elephant National Park received a shot in the arm.
SA National Parks says Unitrans donated half-a-million rands worth of equipment to the Addo Rangers to equip them for the ongoing battle.
The sponsorship was facilitated by the SANParks Honorary Rangers, a group of volunteers who raise funds and provide services in support of South African National Parks.
Sanparks spokesperson, Megan Taplin, says the rangers will use the equipment during day and night patrols, aimed at preventing potential poachers from entering the Park.
