The three men accused of robbing Fischer's Jewellers in Gqeberha made a brief appearance in the city's magistrate's court on Friday where their formal bail applications were postponed.
The State alleges that Olwethu Makhanya, Nkuleleko Mthembu, and Sabelo Maphumulo robbed the jewellery store in the Greenacres shopping complex on 2 September.
They each face a charge of business robbery.
During their court appearance, State Advocate Benedict Wilson informed the court that three attorneys would represent the three accused.
The case was postponed so that the attorneys could officially come on record.
In a press release sent out by the police on the day of the incident, the cops said between eight to ten men entered the shop just before 2 pm and robbed it of an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
According to police, the robbers fled the scene in a bronze Suzuki 7-seater vehicle and a silver Toyota Etios.
Nobody was injured during the robbery.
The accused before the court was arrested last month in Kwazulu-Natal.
The trio will appear in court again on 13 November.
