Accident claims life of Kabega Park, PE man

A man from Kabega Park in Port Elizabeth died in a road accident on the N2 freeway near Baywest Mall on Thursday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Alwin Labans, says a bakkie and small car were travelling in a westerly direction when they touched each other at about half past three.

Both vehicles rolled and the 62-year-old driver of the bakkie died on the scene.

His 57-year-old wife has been hospitalised.

 Labans says a 22-year-old woman who was in the car, was also taken to hospital.
