The Mthatha High Court will next month hear Abathembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo's application to interdict President Jacob
Zuma from removing him as a king.
Dalindyebo's spokesman Nkosi Mtirara says in a statement that acting Judge Justin Laing will hear the application on the 5th of September.
Dalindyebo wants the court to grant him an interdict preventing Zuma from removing him.
This was until another court had determined whether the president could remove a king from power, and whether the section
of the Traditional Leadership and Governance Framework Act, on which he relied to do so, was constitutional.
