Close to 1000 kilograms of stolen electrical cables have been recovered in Jeffreys Bay.
A special operation by Kouga Municipality in collaboration with Kouga Law Enforcement led them to Ocean View where the stolen infrastructure was recently found.
Municipal spokesperson, Monique Basson, says the serious scourge of cable theft, not only negatively affects the municipality but also its residents.
She says they have intensified the fight against this crime and more interventions are being planned and will include increased patrols and the installation of CCTV.
