Sixteen people have been arrested on charges of illegal hunting on a farm in the Hofmeyr area of the Eastern Cape.
Police said the arrests were made by an official from the Department of Environmental Affairs, Forestry and Fisheries over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci, said 12 carcasses of springbuck were recovered on the farm Gruisheuwel.
She said 32 dogs used during the hunt were taken to the SPCA in Komani, formerly Queenstown.
The suspects, aged between 23 and 48, will appear in court on Tuesday.
