At least 11 people, including five pedestrians, were killed in accidents on Western Cape roads this weekend.
Provincial Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa says 792 motorists were tested for alcohol between Friday and Sunday morning, of which 26 were arrested for drunken driving.
He says the highest reading recorded was in Worcester where the driver was four times over the legal limit.
Africa says seven pedestrians, who were under the influence of alcohol in Oudtshoorn, were arrested.
