Tributes are pouring in for legendary American actress and fashion model Cicely Tyson who died on Friday at the age of 96.
Tyson's career spanned over seven decades and won her several accolades including an honorary Academy Award, three Emmy Awards, four Black Reel Awards, a Tony and Screen Actors Guild Award.
South African fans last saw her in the popular series "How to get away with murder" starring opposite Acadamy Award winner Viola Davis.
Tyson's memoir entitled "Just as I am" went on sale earlier this week.
