A masked gunman shot dead 14 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises at a cinema in the U.S. city of Denver on Friday.
A local radio station is reporting that a man in a gas mask opened fire at the midnight showing in a shoping mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb.
It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.
Sky News is reporting that there were two shooters and that one of them has been arrested.
