Deadliest year for journalists in 2012

Reporters Without Borders says 2012 has been the deadliest year for journalists.

It says 88 journalists have been killed so for this year while on duty, along with 47 community journalists and 6 media assistant colleagues.

Reporters Without Borders says the figure marks a rise of 33% compared to last year.

It can be attributed largely to the war in Syria, the chaos in Somalia and Taliban violence in Pakistan.
