YouTube skateboarding star dies in plane crash

22-year-old Josh Neuman, famous for his daredevil stunts on YouTube, was among four people killed in a plane crash in Iceland, authorities reported Monday.

Neuman, who had 1.19M subscribers, described himself as a ‘filmmaker, adventurer and pro downhill skateboarder.’ He was known for his daring skateboarding videos in which he was seen performing perilous maneuvres as he careered downhill on his longboard at incredible speeds.

According to The Associated Press, Neuman was on a trip to create content for the Belgian fashion brand Suspicious Antwerp along with Tim Alings, the company’s sponsorship manager, 27; and Nicola Bellavia, a 32-year-old skydiver and social media influencer from Belgium. Associated Press reported that the pilot, Haraldur Diego, 49, was considered one of Iceland’s most prominent aviators and a pioneer of photography tours.

They were onboard a small sightseeing plane that disappeared from radars on Thursday last week, the cause of the crash is not yet known.

This video from 2019, has been viewed more than 106 million times and counting.
