A family statement has been released identifying the cause of death of US stand-up comedian and Full House star Bob Saget.
Saget was found dead in a Florida Hotel room on January 9th after having performed in the state as part of a tour the night before. At the time the authorities said that the 65-year-old was found on his hotel bed at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando and that there were no signs of foul play.
Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The statement has subsequently revealed that Saget died from an accidental blow to the head: "The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved."
They added they had been comforted by the “outpouring of love from Bob's fans."
