Springboks wing, Makazole Mapimpi has been at the receiving end of a lot of female attention since his rise to stardom within the Springboks team and more recently after his incredible performance at the Rugby World Cup.
Social media has been abuzz since the Springboks World Cup victory which saw many fans "shoot their shot" at a few star players in the team.
In one screenshot that was shared on Facebook, a woman identified as Vuyolwethu Liyana responds to Mapimpi's message on Facebook after four years of ignoring him. She cites the reason for not replying to the messages as network problems, but we think it could have a little bit more to do with Mapimpi's sudden notability.
Other Twitter users went as far as changing their handles and adding Mapimpi as their last name and requesting marriage from the sports star.
