Described by many as a national treasure, the US actor and comedian Leslie Jordan died aged 67 in a car crash in Los Angeles on Monday morning, 24 October.
Best known for his roles in Will and Grace and American Horror Story, police told the LA Times that Jordan's car crashed into the side of a building and he was declared dead at the scene.
The question still remains, did Jordan die as a result of the collision, or had he suffered from a medical emergency beforehand?
Jordan was filming the Fox television series Call Me Kat , and several reports say that he was on his way to the Warner Brothers Studio at the time of the tragedy.
Fellow co-star from the hit TV Series Will and Grace, Sean Hayes, said of Jordan on Twitter : “My heart is broken. Leslie Jordan was one of the funniest people I ever had the pleasure of working with. Everyone who ever met him, loved him. There will never be anyone like him. A unique talent with an enormous, caring heart. You will be missed, my dear friend”.

A post on Jordan's Instagram platform said: "The love and light that Leslie shared will never go out and we invite you to share your memories and comfort each other during this time. In the coming days we will be giving a glimpse of a project Leslie was really proud of and was looking forward to sharing with the world".
At the time of his death, Jordan had amassed 5.8 million Instagram followers. His following grew by leaps and bounds in response to his hilarious posts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
