Whoops – malfunctioning machine causes license chaos

If you are waiting for your driver’s license to be renewed you will be well aware of the huge backlog in the issuing of licenses - this is being blamed on a malfunctioning machine!

The machine in question, according to Transport Minister, Fikile Mbabula, has been sent to Germany for repairs. The Minister says he will be announcing temporary measures shortly: "I am going to be announcing temporary measures with regards to temporary license but I am moving ahead with the new driver's license cards which I will announce in public."
