A disgruntled Steve Hofmeyr has cancelled his DSTV contract, driven over his decoder and ripped out his satellite dish. This after MultiChoice announced during the week that they would no longer be airing any material featuring the Afrikaans artist. He posted the video on his Facebook page and went on to offer any fan who was prepared to do the same by the 1st June, R10 000.
The controversial singer had previously stated on his social media account that "blacks are the architects of apartheid", he had also persisted in singing Die Stem (the apartheid-era national anthem) at concerts and festivals. The 2014 tweet had resurfaced on social media causing MultiChoice to blacklist him saying his values did not reflect the values of their organisation.
