Neflix is proud to announce that they will be collaborating with Pearl Thusi and Kagiso Lediga on their first ever African original series.
Titled, Queen Sona, the series will see Pearl take on the role of a highly trained South African whose job is to better the lives of African citizens; to achieve her goal she must take on an extremely dangerous mission while holding her personal life together.
Netflix’s Vice President Kelly Luegenbiehl, said in an interview with IOL , "We love the team behind the show, [and] we're passionate about coming in and doing something that feels fresh and different. It's really exciting for us, and creating a strong female character was really something that also really drew us to it.”
Pearl and Kagiso can currently be seen on Netflix in the homegrown movie Catching Feelings. Congrats Pearl and Kagiso!
