Take a bow Generation X - don’t let anyone tell you don’t have social media clout – thanks to you, model William White, has hit the one million mark on TikTok!
While young Will may have been born in 2000, his massive following has come from a host of Generation X females – Generation X, as you probably know, is generally defined as people born from 1965 to 1980.
And why are these ‘cougars’ hooked on the young Canadian lad? He has become a 'CougarTok' sensation for his lip-syncing videos of some of the biggest hits of the ’80s. After he began posting these videos his following steadily rose from about 200 000 to a million as the over 40-year-old female brigade found themselves hooked, with many sharing reaction videos and some even recording duets with his videos.
The sultry-looking White lip syncs to songs such as Barry Manilow's "Mandy,", Bryan Adams' "Heaven" and, Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'".
The incredibly chiseled male model has certainly gotten the older ladies more than a little ‘hot and bothered' - the self-confessed 'cougars' have left messages comparing him to '80s heartthrobs Robe Lowe and Shaun Cassidy, even going so far as to expressing embarrassment at ogling someone so young.
Yeah, we know – you want to take a look for yourself.
Here he is..drum roll, please.....William White lip-syncing to Barry Manilow's, Mandy!
