WATCH: Mampintsha confronted by angry mob in Pietermaritzburg club [VIDEO]

Popular Gqom artist Mampintsha, who has been under fire for abusing his ex girlfriend, Gqom sensation Babaes Wodumo was rejected by angry patrons at the Cubana club in Pietermaritzburg.

Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo, who were previously known as the power couple of Gqom music, have been under public scrutiny, following claims that Mampintsha abuses Babes. Although the abuse was speculation, it has since emerged via an Instagram Live video on Babes Wodumo's page that she indeed is a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her partner Mampintsha - who is seen physically assaulting the Gqom star in the short clip that has gone viral.

Mampintsha has since released a statement claiming that Babes Wodumo is the one abusing him, and his retaliation is done in self defence. His statement was met with contempt by many fans and followers and a cry for Mampintsha's music to be muted and ultimately for the star to be excluded in the industry was made by South Africans.

He attended Cubana night club in Pietermaritzburg this past weekend, where he was met by an angry mob that refused him entrance into the club and demanded that he leave.

It seems the public has become more intolerant of gender based violence and things for Mampintsha could worsen.
