WATCH: Kevin Spacey makes surprise courtroom appearance in groping case

Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey made a surprise appearance Monday at a Massachusetts courthouse where his attorney asked for a speedy trial in the groping case against his client, saying Spacey is “suffering” as he awaits the opportunity to clear his name. His lawyer is insisting that the former Oscar winner is being  set up by the accuser's mother, a former television anchor. 

Spacey was not required to be at the court for the pre-trial.
