MojaLove's new show, Uyajola 9/9 has been in the news since it first aired last week.
The show is a local version of the hit US series Cheaters, it's hosted by Jub Jub Maarohanye and it's all about exposing cheating partners. However, audience reaction has been mixed, with some applauding Jub Jub for exposing cheaters and some upset about the show's depiction of black people .
The show has now come under fire from a concerned citizen, Kholofelo Masha, who has started a petition to have it shut down saying . "This show violates our privacy. It destroys families and lives in general. Sign this petition to have it taken down from our TV." Kholofelo created the petition, Cancellation of Uyajola 99 on Change.Org.
The show's woes also include being accused of staging the confrontations and as reported in the Daily Sun, the participants were said to have allegedly been paid to make an appearance. The article titled, Uyajola 99 ‘A Big Lie’: We did it fot money! , was published on the 29th May.
