The Biden-Harris inauguration has come and gone – now the real work begins - but before it does, there will be many reruns of clips covering the USA presidential inauguration across news channels the world over.
One of them will no doubt be the performance by 36-year-old Katy Perry. The new mom was one of many stars to perform on Wednesday's Celebrating America special following the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
It was a riveting performance - dressed in a custom Thom Browne ensemble, Perry gave her all to a slightly reworked rendition of her 2010 hit, "Firework."
Performing in front of the Washington Monument to wrap up the special, with Biden and his wife, Dr Jill Biden, and Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, appearing to watch the performance against the backdrop of an epic firework display, it was a fitting way by all counts to close the celebration of a new era in American history.
