The small screen is not done with Exotic and his nemesis Carole Baskin just yet - Joe vs Carole is a scripted adaptation of the 2019 Wondery podcast “Joe Exotic: Tiger King” by Robert Moor.
The hugely successful Netflix series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness that launched around about the start of the covid pandemic in March 2020, had a house-bound global audience glued to their seats. Taking a look at the trailer to this new docuseries, I doubt it will be as gripping because we've seen it all already.
So, what can we expect? According to the producers: “The limited series centers on Carole Baskin (Kate McKinnon), a big cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel (John Cameron Mitchell) is breeding and using his big cats for profit. She sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy. The results prove dangerous”.
Nothing new there if you watched the Netflix series. Perhaps these 'big cats' have used up their nine lives.

Joe vs Carole premieres on March 3 on Peacock.
Exotic was sentenced to 22 years in prison for plotting to murder Baskin and violating federal wildlife laws. On the 3rd November 2021, he took to Twitter to share the news that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
