Legendary superstar Dolly Parton is encouraging her fans to get vaccinated singing her famous track Joelene for the occasion, but changing the words to, "Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, I’m begging of you please don't hesitate.”
The list of celebrities taking to social media to dispel misinformation about the COIVD-19 vaccine continues to grow. A-listers promoting the jab include Jane Fonda, Dame Joan Collins, Sir David Attenborough, Barry Humphries, Sir Elton John, Sir Michael Caine, and Arnold Swarzenegger.
We can now add Dolly Paton to the list. The 75-year-old star, looking glamourous in a sparkling outfit, received a Moderna jab at Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee Tuesday, posting a clip on Twitter with the caption “Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine".
This was in reference to Parton having made a generous donation of R15m to the Vanderbilt University to help fund the development of the Moderna vaccine.
