Lady Gaga’s dog walker relives “close call with death"

Lady Gaga and Miss Asia

Ryan Fischer, the man who was walking Lady Gaga's three dogs when he was shot at last week and two of the French bulldogs stolen, has spoken out for the first time about his ordeal. In recalling the violent attack he described the incident as a “very close call with death.”

Last week Wednesday in LA a car pulled up alongside Fischer while he was walking the dogs, two men jumped out demanding that he hand over the animals. A struggle ensued between the three and one of the attackers pulled out a gun and fired a single shot at Fischer before they got back into the car and sped away with Koji and Gustav, leaving Miss Asia behind.

In a heartfelt post from his hospital bed Fischer said,” While a car sped away and blood poured from my gunshot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me. My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own".

"I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we'd been on together, apologized that I couldn't defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself."

He went on to say that he hoped," my calm(ish) and forceful pleas for the urgency of my care as well as the focused descriptions of the dogs would be enough to help me and get enough police and media attention to find the boys, I looked back at my guardian angel".

"I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she would be okay. From that point, right as the neighbors poured from their homes and restaurant to us on the sidewalk, life has taken a very sudden and unexpected turn."

He ended the post by saying that he is still in recovery but will write more about the incident when his health has improved. He also thanked everyone for their “healing support.”

Shortly after the news of the theft reached Lady Gaga, who was abroad at the time, she offered a reward of $500.00 (that’s roughly 7 million rands) for the safe return of her pets, no questions asked, and on Friday an unidentified woman brought the two French bulldogs into a police station unharmed.

According to various reports she was not involved with the armed robbery.
