On March 7 CBS will air what is being promoted as a “ tell-all interview” by the Prince and his pregnant wife Meghan with the revered talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey is said to have become a close friend and confidante of the couple over the past couple of years.
It is, without doubt, one of the most anticipated interviews for both lovers and haters of the monarchy. The couple is said to have been keen to set the record straight about their reasons for wanting to leave ‘ The Firm’ and who better to tell their story to than their dear friend and neighbor, Oprah.
It has been widely reported in the media that on the same day as the interview is to be aired, members of the royal family will be gracing TV in England for a Commonwealth Day special.
The interview with Winfrey will be screened in the UK on May 8th, one day after it airs in the US. Will the royal family be tuning in? If they do they will, in all probability, be bracing themselves for some embarrassing disclosures.
