Watch: Cat saved by fans after plunging 30 ft at stadium

The daring cat using up one of its nine lives!

American football fans sprang into action to save a cat from sure death as it plunged from an upper deck at the Hard Rock Stadium during a game.

The black and white feline appears to have gotten into trouble when it was scaling the front of a deck at the stadium, it can be seen clinging by its claws to the fabric during the first quarter of a Saturday college game between No 22 Miami and Appalachian State.

As fans looked on aghast, it lost its grip and then, much to the horror of the crowd, fell about nine meters to the lower level of the stadium. Fortunately, fans swung into action using an American flag as a makeshift safety net to rescue the feline, it was then taken away by stadium security workers.

A 'cat' - astrophe averted, Hard Rock Stadium took to Twitter to report, “We are happy that due to the heads up nature of fans in sections 107, 110 & 208 the cat landed safely after a harrowing fall. We wish the cat the best in his remaining eight lives. We have made a donation to @humanemiami and encourage fans to do so. https://humanesocietymiami.org/get-involved/
